FSW is in the process of accepting proposals for class sessions for its 2026 Conference Program.

FireShowsWest 2026

Conference & Expo

We are gearing up for a bigger and more impactful conference in 2026 and are excited to announce that we are now accepting class submissions.

The conference will feature a variety of educational formats, including hands-on training sessions, workshops, and classroom sessions. These formats are designed to provide comprehensive training and development opportunities for attendees.

Due to popular demand, FireShowsWest 2026 will feature 4 Full Conference days including 2 Full Days of off site Hands-On Training. 

 

If any of your classes or experiences can help to further the professional growth of the fire service, we invite you to share your expertise.

TYPES OF CLASS SUBMISSIONS TO BE ACCEPTED

Keynote Session

  • 60 min presentation

Workshops

  • 4 hour sessions

Hands-On Training

  • 4 hour or 8 hour sessions

Classroom Sessions

  • 90-120 min sessions

Examples of relevant presentation topics include:
(but are not limited to)

  • Effective Training

  • Fireground/Response

  • Engine Operations

  • Hose, Nozzle, and Appliance

  • Truck Operations

  • Ventilation, Ladders, and Technical Rescue

  • Forcible Entry

  • Recruitment/Retention

  • Communication

  • Incident Command

  • Incident Command

  • Leadership

  • Officer Development

  • Physical Health

  • Behavioral Health

  • Fire and Life safety

  • Fire Prevention

  • Hazmat

SUBMISSION FORMAT

Course submission must be in .pdf format and include the following:

  • Short Instructor Bio w/Photo, Max Character Limit: 2000

    •  (If course has more than one instructor, please include a bio and photo for EACH instructor)

  • Administrative Contact (If different from above)

  • Title of Course

  • Offered Lengths

  • Brief Description 1-2 paragraph summary

  • Approximate Instructor Cost (see below)

Please limit submissions to 1-2 total pages

APPROXIMATE INSTRUCTOR(S) COST 
Please include the following as part of the submission:
  • Approximate Travel Costs for all instructors

  • Audio Visual needs

  • Room set up required for the presentation

  • Course materials / books that are required for the students

    • PLEASE NOTE: We are moving to an all digital format for any course materials. If printed materials are necessary for your course, please include that in your submission

SPEAKER REIMBURSMENTS
FireShowsWest will reimburse instructors for airfare, mileage, parking, and a daily per diem.*  Hotel accommodations will be provided during the dates of instruction.
*subject to total max allowance

 
SUBMISSION REVIEWS

All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the FireShowsWest Professional Development Educational Committee.

COURSE SELECTIONS

Course selections will be recommended by the Educational Committee to the FireShowsWest Conference team by the end of March.  Final course selections will accepted/rejected the end of April by FireShowsWest show management.

HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

All class sessions will be set up to meet CDC & local health requirements for the safety of the instructors and participants.
